Procrastination is the ultimate destroyer of persistence. It wears away at you slowly. Hacks away at your character, your decisions and ultimately your soul.
It is a welcome disease in which the consequences are all to real. If speed is consistency then procrastination would be the equivalent of drinking cement powder in small volumes.
Life is a rhythm. Filled with habits forged over the years and patterns of our own design. To procrastinate means to throw these up in the air for the hell of it. To become less of the person you were planning to be originally. To succumb to mediocrity.
Yes procrastination is inviting mediocrity into your life and letting it win. Once it wins once it gets even easier to win again and again. Never forget this. It is a continuous battle you will fight towards the end of your days on this Earth. An enemy who never yields and is always ready to take you down.
Be ready. Be vigilant. Create fool proof systems that you can follow. Said famously by Aaliyah:
At first you don’t succeed, dust yourself off and try again
This is a war. It is you vs yourself. A battle everyday that starts from when you open your eyes. Which you do you want to win today?
Be Super.
