Idle Mind Primer
The silence.
The tranquility.
Ready for what is to come. The idea of the idle mind and what in actuality it look like are two different things.
I will be speaking from my 20+ years of mental focus, yoga techniques and being present passed to me from my mother.
This is from my own experience.
What it is not
- Positive all the time
- Lots of uhm’s and ah’s
- 3 hour stretches sitting cross legged
Just like this pictures illustrates it is a perception that the idle, tranquil mind is constantly still. Motionless. Quiet.
This could not be as far from the truth.
What it could be
- Not positive or negative, it just IS
- Embracing the now, this moment for what it is, truly taking it in
Thoughts flood in. This is natural. To fight against them is a foolish errand. To allow them to have their space, time and to go through you. This is the pursuit.
Everything has it’s place.
It is through realising that we live in abundance and not scarcity can you actually manifest true calm in mind.
