Lessons From Beyond

The best life lessons are the most cruel to learn. From suffering a hardship, to losing a loved one there are always true gold mines of learnings that we carry with us for the rest of our lives.

This is one of those times.

All it took was the passing of a good friend to really remind me of the two most important core values he and I live by.

Focus and Forgiveness

The two F’s or F2.

These two things alone or together provide a certain type of catalyst to spark anything meaningful.

The ability to focus. I do not mean just ordinary focus, or even tunnel vision this is a laser focus hell bent on destroying the task at hand. Where nothing in your path will stop you because you do not even see them.

The true empathy to forgive. Not just the ‘I am sorry’ the power to truly accept someone in your life whom was wronged you, scolded you, not done right by you and to have them as they are.

Implications

Living with these things you resent a lot less. There are no what if’s or grudges. Every day is a step in the right direction for you and not a step back being paralysed by the past but preparing for the future.

Always looking forward. Never backward. Appreciating your footsteps but never counting them.

These are some of the lessons I have learned from my dear friend, Paul Jasion and the way he lived. I hope they reach you well.

Be Super.
