Superficial Change

I have had the luxury to be involved in many organisational changes, adoptions, re-works and game changers. One big thing that they all share is superficial change.

Now this isn’t to say change in a company and even a person isn’t possible, on the contrary, it just comes down to execution.

Poorly executed and mis matched values in the planning process can still be great plans albeit for the wrong reasons, whilst aligning values early are a blueprint to win

Herein lies the secret.

Values.

What you stand for. What’s done by a lot of individuals and organisations is they see the end result that they covet and plan towards that. No changes in habits, values, belief systems, all just directed at the end result. Needless to say it either never bodes well, ‘doesn’t work for me/us’ or the system is wrong.

Now it’s quite funny when we flip that on it’s head isn’t it?

So instead of focusing on change from the bottom up and implementing immediately try first to distinguish the WHY behind the process, the gains, never compromise what you internally believe but you must adapt it when necessary and trying out new things.

Be Open.

Be Super.
