Spoiler. It does not exist. Let me put that out there first. A close friend the other other day came under the conclusion that ‘It’s easy’ for me to not eat whatever I want not knowing the 6–7 years prior beforehand but alas…

The Mountain Top

Every single person you meet in this world has their own ‘Mountain Top’. What they deem to be the highest they can go. How far they can see. What they believe. So what causes such a disparity between what people view altogether?

Goal setting.

If you wanted to train for a 10k marathon in 6 years would you wait out 5 3–4's of that time and in the last 2 months attempt to run 10k everyday and fail horribly then claim ‘I can’t do this’ ‘It isn’t for me’. Hopefully you said no.

Set small wins/milestones to build up your confidence!

A cub in a Lion Pride does not hunt gazelles from birth, it is given leftovers to practice on for years and then even after then? It hunts after the Alpha’s. Building your confidence is key.

Lastly probably the shadow killer of consistency is…

Time.

It may take you much longer than you expected. Heck it may take you 5–10x the time but you are not in a race against anyone. It is your personal Mountain Top so breath, take it all, realise that someone else’s consistency might not be yours #NotMyConsistency and get to work.
