The Inner Critic
Consistent and self imposed.
You’re not strong enough.
You’re not fit enough.
You’re slow.
You’re weak.
You’re dumb.
If someone else could hear the things we say to ourselves seldom would anyone look for ways to put us down and let us do it.
The empathy we share with others does not exist for self as is self is separated from the equation. No limit to the cruelty in spiel we deliver towards us.
If physical labour is the fight between mind and body then this is mind and soul. Words as our weapon and no shield.
Be careful with the inner monologue you deliver to yourself. Be kind. Patient. Most important be human.
Love yourself.
