You always hear ‘X is for life, not just for Christmas’ or any other cheesy slogan but these are the cold hard truths I learned being a parent (yes you are a parent) of a fuzzy or non fuzzy.
Mess
- You will clean your home every single day
Laziness
- They eliminate majority of your me time because that is their time too
Accidents
- Not just them but you will have more mishaps every now and again

- Pet insurance, operations, random illnesses
Exercise
- Depending on your partner choice you are going to get either loads of none done
Excuse
- They are a terrific reason to not go out or skip an RSVP ‘my x is ill’
Holiday
- You have to have a world war strategy for how/who/what is going to look after this when you are out
Food
- You will never be allowed to leave food around ever again
To that fuzzy warm ball of fuzz you are the parent, the provider. Sometimes it feels like it is an unpaying job but the moments we share with them are priceless.
